Apocalypse RP #2: Global Flood

I have finally got around to starting this RP! I hope everyone is interested, with the concept of a sea/water adaptation/manipulation power and one of free choice. Here it goes:

I was watching the news as they reported the world would be flooded. A year and six billion lives later, the world had a global ocean, horrifying mutant sea creatures, savage survivors and out-of-control weather, like hurricanes.

I declare the RP open!

The last year has NOT been the best. Ya know, what with the global chaos, and everywhere being under too much water to just vacuum dry. Well, at least my parents are safe. On a nice big boat with my sister, somewhere. I imagine near what used to be China by now to sight-see via scuba expedition, if all goes according to plan. As for me? Free to go about and explore as I please, since I has these handy powers.

I think I'll take an underwater tour of things for a while.

I managed to get on a Trilobis 65, so I am living in luxury. It is a six-man vessel, but there is only me, the guy who owns it and his wife. They are both French, speaking no English, so we must communicate in Esperanto, though we are beginning to pick up each other's languages.

I got the power to give a power to an object, but I am not an expert. The treatment which gave it to me as a side effect was meant to give me the capability to survive in the waterworld, but it hasn't surfaced yet.

aww, I was hoping that there would have been enough years so that society would have started to rebuild itself after a few roving hoards of sea pirates.

That's where the fun comes in; we have to (sometimes violently) rebuild society ourselves.

 Figured as much. Except no Devil Fruit, and we don't get treasure at the end.

We could have a few devil fruit or something similiar as a way to get our powers, and the second flood could have unearthed the "Lost city of Atlantis, which has turned into a floating continent constantly changing location and accessible only by people that have put together the peices of a certain map or artifact.

An orphan, taken in and experimented on by a strange organization, and ditched again a year later when the experiments were finished. I now wonder between the areas of survivors looking for a path to follow.

Also I remembered that I chose aerokinesis as my first power, but I never picked a water related power. Does anyone have any ideas on what my water based power could be? I'm not too familiar with water powers plus I don't know what everyone else has already picked.
